Trotters Pointe: A Great Place to Live in South Lyon, MI

If you're a new resident of Trotters Pointe, welcome to the neighborhood! You'll find a lot of useful information here to help you get acquainted with the area. The links page has links to various resources in the area.

All new residents should register to keep in touch. We'll email you updates about what's happening in your neighborhood.

We invite you to look over the association's governing documents. In particular, please take the chance to review Article VI (Restrictions) of the Bylaws for important information on things that are not allowed in our neighborhood. For instance, many exterior improvements and modifications must be approved by the Rules & Regulations Committee before work can start.

Garbage collection for Trotters Pointe takes place on Monday.

Curbside recycling is also picked up on Mondays.

Compost materials are picked up on Mondays from the first full week of April through November 30th.

If there is a holiday that falls on a Monday then the pick-up day is delayed one day. There is no garbage pickup on the following holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Information on obtaining a curbside recycling bin and recycling guidelines are available from the City of South Lyon's Web site.

Household Hazardous Waste Recycling

South Lyon belongs to a group of communities that participate in recycling events for hazardous materials and other items that are not picked up in your recycling bin. These items include things like used motor oil, oil-based paints and stains, fluorescent light bulbs, old televisions and computer equipment, and batteries. In addition, you may bring papers to be shredded.
