Household Hazardous Waste Recycling

South Lyon belongs to a group of communities that participate in recycling events for hazardous materials and other items that are not picked up in your recycling bin. These items include things like used motor oil, oil-based paints and stains, fluorescent light bulbs, old televisions and computer equipment, and batteries. In addition, you may bring papers to be shredded.

More information is available at The Recycling Authority's site. They have a list of recycling event dates and list of accepted items.
